i can't be the only one

by: Whatever

Basically Im rushing to make my mom happy. I went ahead abd recs. Actually no my mom just got people from chuch and JL to wrote them. I have an open mind and I could be wrong and end up pledging or be heartbroken if I am dropped. At the end of the day I just want to get on campus a week early lol and am planning on withdrawing after philanthropy

Based on your grammar and attitude...please drop out. And truthfully, this will shine thru in your recs, personality, and body language. You'll probably be cut by a ton of houses immediately anyway. I wish you could have more of an open mind about the process and joining a sorority because there are far more pros than cons.

Not the person you are talking to, but as a Rec Writer (over 25 this year......10 of those for UA), unless you are the best actress in the world, we know what you're like, and we also know how to write nice Recs that say what we really think between the lines.

You'd be surprised how well someone can read you. Honestly, if they are all your Moms friends, then you are probably okay, but just because someone agrees to write a Rec for you, doesn't mean they are gonna make you look like the greatest PNM to ever walk through the door. If you are good enough at faking it, maybe.

That said, people aren't usually out to get you just to be salty. I have only written three Recs where I really thought taking the girl was a bad idea for my house. They knew what I was thinking, I assure you.

while I'd recommend going to IWT, if you don't like it after that (I mean, two days should be enough time if you're already pretty sure about dropping) then drop out. Even if you have to lie to your mom for a bit, just don't take a spot away from a girl who might get dropped completely from the system just because you can't be honest with your mom.
