Theta Chi, Delta Chi and Sigma Chi seem to spend some time here. Before the redesign Lambda, Beta, ATO, and a lot of old row blow-hards ran the site. I prefer the new administration some, their legislation reflects changing times.

Phi Gam may or may not be a good house. They are the tree that fell in the woods. Based on the 4-5 unimpressive kids I know, I can't imagine that they are a top 10 house. Maybe they are 'secretly' number 11??

are down some, but they're the only ones still lending any credibility to old row at the moment. If you weighted the good new row houses agains old row, there has been a pretty obvious power shift.

You don't get it, last year the ranks were all DKE, SAE, KA, Phi Gam, and Sigma Nu as the top 5. The backlash against old row wa becuase there are better houses and old row isn't synonymous with top tier. Sigma Nu, Phi Gam and KA are all wayyyy down, and everyone lets them slide for being old row. Their better because of their history and not for any sort of current excellence.

I always bump up Old Row because it's good for the whole system to have Old Row be strong. That being said, at some point you have to pull the plug and send a dying house to the morgue.
We have all watched KA decline with bad pledge classes and less girls at their parties. Same with EN though they were already down when we got here. I keep upgrading Phi Delt for the good of the system, but their was no sign of life over there long before we arrived.
I hope it is not over for Old Row, but they are literally on life support.

Not like I'm trying to write my doctoral thesis when I comment on here. Thanks for your concern about something irrelevant to my point though.

It was I who critiqued KA. I lamented that they have declined from a superior house to one that is undistinguished. While these type of evaluations are subjective, there are some objective criteria that can make the point: their standing is down among other houses, there are kids declining KA bids in favor of other houses, there are less girls at their parties then when I started here and more girls at houses that APPEAR to be similarly ranked, and; some of the houses that APPEAR to be similarly ranked APPEARED to be of far lower rank than KA when we got to UA.

Pike self-ranked all of 2012 which is why they stay high when the website resets - same with LXA. ATO did it in a concentrated time period and the website deleted that time period

Self-ranking was legendary, they had something like 600 ratings.

wasn't it ATO that had like hundreds of downrankings in a row? I remember they were crying about it forever. Truly hilarious
