by: pnmWhat house did you 100% believe you were a great fit, only to be dropped? And now do you still believe you would have been a great fit?

I got dropped before Pref by a house that you all consider bottom. I really liked it though, and thought I connected with the girls. I ended up with two houses at Pref (one OR, one NR) and picked NR first, which is where I ended up. I love my sisters and I wouldn't change a thing, but sometimes I wonder what the heck happened with that other house.

I fell in love with kappa after IWT bc of the girl i talked to and legit would have gone Kappa bc of the conversation I had with this girl. However the girl I talked to on philanthropy was like talking to a wall. After their presentation she didn't come back for like 4 whole minutes and I just sat there. To this day I still think I would be a good fit and wish I talked to a different girl that actually spoke.

Went into recruitment thinking I would love AXO and XO but they were not for me, I couldn't fit in with the vibe and felt like I was pushing to be someone I wasn't. Great girls but not my crowd.
My advice to PNMs is to pick the house where you can see the girls as your equals. Pick the house where you can best see yourself standing in their position one year from now.

I LOVED alpha chi during iwt and philanthropy and totally had my heart set on them. I was completely devastated when they dropped me after philanthropy. I'm from the west coast, liberal, atheist, and a pretty big partier and honestly in hind sight I know I would be nowhere near as happy there as I am in my house. They are an awesome house but I'm glad they could see I wasn't a fit.

I got dropped before Pref by a house that is considered bottom here. I would have likely chosen them first if I'd preffed them because I really enjoyed my time there, and loved the girls I got to know. I wasn't a legacy to any house on campus, so I know I wasn't dropped for that. My grades were excellent, my activities were good, etc.
Instead, I ended up with two houses that people here rank middle/upper depending on the list. I think I'm a great fit for the house I'm in, but I still think I'd be just as happy in the other house, and I'm even still good friends with a couple of the girls that I got to know in that house during Rush.
No, I've never asked them why I got dropped, and never will.
