question
by: PNMWhat are the chances I'll get a bid from Alpha Chi or Phi Mu? What do they look for? I'm open minded, but these two are my favorites right now and I'm just wondering.

You give no info about yourself.....so there are about 140 pledges in each house. 2700 girls rush.
In round numbers 5 percent chance of getting in each house. Ten percent chance of one or the other.
Of course, if you have to ask (which suggests you are frankly "clueless" and not prepared) as these are competitive houses with girls who have positioned themselves to be wanted and on their radar, if you haven't done theses things, the odds are much, much lower.

This thread went toxic in a hurry. So OP, to answer your question. These houses look for similar things, but may have a different priority for each.
AXO tends to look for grades and test scores above all else. Then you usually need a connection within the house (right zip, camps, whatever). Tend to draw a lot of southern Baptist, hense the nickname Alpha Christ.
PM looks for pretty, well rounded girls. They want academic, but not necessarily valedictorians. Because they value looks, they tend to get labeled as vain. Seem to take more international and out of state girls than other OR houses, as long as they fit their image.

Why would I put info about myself so you can try to figure out who I am at recruitment? That's stupid, considering how rude these actives are on this website. Why would anyone want to join a sorority if they are going to be treated like dirt just for being ignorant and asking questions? That's the opposite of constructive. I was asking what these houses looked for. Just tell me rather than getting defensive and coming at me. You don't need to know anything about me to tell me what they look for. GPA's? Looks? Connections? There's no need to be rude, catty, and immature to the girls who may wear your letters one day, end up on your executive boards, and someday recruit members of their own. Be respectful, because treating fellow women like garbage reflects poorly on your own sisterhood.
