really regretting my housing situation
by: RegretOk so Im OOS deep south and Alabama is just where my family has always gone. I talked my parents into letting me live in their TTown condo. Now that all my friends are getting ready for dorms and everything I really feel like Im missing out. My best friend (and like 1 of less than 10 freshmen I will know) will be in Tut and her roommate isn't rushing so moving in later. Originally she was going to stay with me during rush but now I kinda want to stay with her during rush. What do yall think? Do you think Ill be missing out on alot? Or do you think Ill have an advantage because I can have my sisters and friends over for no worry pregames and house parties. Extra private bathrooms and so on. Obviously I can't change it now but I could be more effort into hanging out in the dorms?

Depends on how close you are. Some "game day condos" are closer to everything important than Prez!! I think you might miss out a bit but like you said your bff lives in Tut and so will all your new BFFs. Plus you had to of had your reasons. As for having an advantage.... maybe a little bit when all your friends are freshmen but every sophmore and above lives in house or somewhere without rules and RAs

Wow thanks for the info. I wouldn't sublet Id just move out. My parents own it and don't rent it out. I will say if I do end up moving they would be annoyed af after them booking hotels already for every home game. TBT I already caused a fuss over it because my way older siblings (Im the baby by 4 years) only got to live there JR and SR year as a reward for keeping good grades.. Not getting arrested and so on.

Definitely see about this and see if you can sublet your apartment if you end up getting into a dorm. But still make the best of your situation no matter what! The grass is always greener on the other side, seriously.
