necessary to dorm in tut?
by: dormingIf I plan to rush, is it necessary to live in Tutwiler? One of my friends said it really doesn't matter where you live after rush week. But I've also heard it has really great community aspect, and it is in a convenient location. So it is worth it or should I look at other dorms?
#2by: Pres
I lived in pres and it was the greatest thing ever. Honestly of my closest group of friends only one lived in tut and the rest lived in pres 1 or 2 so I was always right by them. I also still felt like we had community in there and it was fun to meet guys too. I don't know how fun tut is but ik people love/ hate it. Everyone I know who lived in pres just loved it.
#7by: Schedule for Tut
Once the new parking deck is completed in Aug. 2018, the construction of the new Tutwiler Hall will begin. The new dorm will be built on the Southwest corner of the site and will be able to house around 1,500 residents, a major upgrade from the 980 residents it houses now. As University attendance is only expected to increase in the coming years, the new Tutwiler’s augmented occupancy is a key reason why the Board of Trustees wanted it built.
New Tutwiler is scheduled to be ready for residents in Aug. 2020, when the old Tutwiler hall will be leveled.
