tips for not passing out during rush?

by: heat concern

Every recruitment post describes how hot it is during the week, and I was hoping people could share their tips or unconventional advice that would be useful for looking good and staying healthy in the heat.

It's not secret. Drink water. Eat. Stay out of the sun when you can and when you can't don't be running around and making yourself hotter than you need to be. But seriously if you stay hydrated and don't skip out on eating and use common sense to stay cool you'll be fine. Get a fan and some mist and don't worry so much

When you go to ice water teas-- drink the water!! Cant tell you how many girls forget that. if you drink your water at every party and at least 1/2 to a whole water bottle outside throughout your breaks you will likely not pass out. They give you water for a reason!

I genuinely don't understand how girls didn't drink the water in every house because my mouth was SO DRY I could barely talk without taking a sip first.

Really listen to your body when it feels dehydrated! You don't pass out suddenly, you will feel dehydrated/tired/dizzy long before that. Don't try to push through it - drink!

Minimum life-sustaining water consumption per day is 1/2 your weight in ounces. 120 pounds = 60 ounces of water. Minimum per day. Your requirement goes up when it's hot, when you exert yourself, when you are sick, and even when you are tired. Glug it down!
