old row / new row
by: ??Why are a few Old Row houses here consistently always ranked higher over a few New Row houses? I'm not trying to start a fight over OR vs. NR but I'm really just curious. There are a few OR houses that don't (or barely) work hard for the place they have whereas a few NR houses have stepped it up and have the leg up in many aspects when compared to their OR counterparts... So what keeps OR on top? Is it just the antiquated idea that OR "status" is still relevant or is it just because of popularity during rush?

Please stop. I'm in a NR house and trust me i think the whole OR NR thing is as stupid as you do but starting all these posts about us just make us look pathetic. I love my house and I know its great. We don't need the old row validation. This post will just inflate old rows egos more.

I think it's more of a tradition thing. Some people will say it's because OR houses are more popular among the PNMs, but there definitely are a few NR houses that are very popular among PNMs... Also popularity is subjective... One PNM may like one house while another PNM may like another.
At this point, OR status is literally nothing. It's just a label to categorize a group of houses. Back when your grandmother went to school it may have meant more but now since there are so many OOS girls, being "all Southern" isn't a good thing anymore, take KD, AGD, and DDD for example.
While there are a few OR houses that I think deserve their place (AXO, XO, PM) there are some (KD, AGD, KKG) that don't deserve to be hyped up and would be ranked lower if people weren't so blind.
