Did anyone out there pledge a different sorority than where they were a legacy?

Was anyone cut by an OR sorority where they were a legacy? NR? At what point?

I was a legacy to a top OR house and halfway through knew I wouldn't fit. I preffed them but ended up going to a NR house that i love and fits me. Go through looking out for yourself and no one else!

Going into rush I didn't think I wanted to join my legacy house but I ended up joining them and I love it!

I was a legacy to a top OR house and loved them during rush, but they dropped me before sisterhood. Ended up pledging a rival OR house and have loved my experience there.

Can ya'll just calm tf down with the legacy stuff. A Legacy Introduction Form doesn't mean much if it is from someone who hasn't been involved, she's not "super" connected, and/or not from the right chapter.

^ totally this. I'm barely a legacy tbh. Yeah I joined the same house as my grandma, but she went to college thousands of miles away from AL and isn't involved in alumna activities. I think it's good to be aware that there's a point where legacy status turns into a coincidence/bonus instead of being the ultimate deciding factor on if you get a bid or not. Don't bank on anything, I guess. Just put your best foot forward.

I pledged a diff sorority than i was a legacy for. They acted like they wanted me more so that’s where i went

Tri Delt Bama legacy I went with another house. Obviously I'm not gonna out myself here by saying what house I'm in now but it came down to Tri Delt and my house and I went with the other and honestly I'm so happy
