Three reasons:
1) There are more new row houses than old row ones so statistically speaking having three old row houses on pref is not going to be that common.
2) New row houses are known for being mainly OOS, but most of the OOS students at Bama are still from the south. Southern OOS girls might like the culture of old row but maybe only have the connections for one or two of them. They are southern enough for old row but OOS enough for new row.
3) The new row/old row distinction is not as big of a deal as people on here want you to believe. The end.

I'm in a lower-mid tier house and honestly a lot of girls in my house prefed at least one old row house. I have multiple friends who chose our house over an old row houses bc they felt more comfortable in our house

BTW. Got my number 1 choice
My rank changed from going into versus after pref. And what I thought was 1 fell to 3 after pref.
My number 1 after pref was always consistently one or two throughout rush. Love it and couldn't be happier.
Opinions of other houses would change round to round.
I really didn't like my second choice after pref in early rounds but it was a legacy and it got better with each round. \n\n\n\n\n
