see where several chapters have black presidents this year. How about exec? Are there any houses that do not have a single woc as a member of their exact?

I know for sure that ADPi, AOPi, XO, DDD, DG, DZ, GPB, KAT, and KD don't. Unsure about AGD, KKG, and APhi.

Sadly with the way demographics are currently, there aren't enough WOC that go through recruitment, get a bid, accept the bid, get initiated, and stick with the chapter long enough to get an exec position. The statistics aren't there yet. Having multiple black presidents is a great step in the right direction though and I know PBP also has a WOC on their exec board.

This.

OP, please don't judge a house based on the fact that they don't have minority women on exec. There's such a small amount of WOC that rush, and even if they join a house, they may not even WANT to be on exec.

Tbh, I don't even think it's fair to judge a house for not having any WOC. Some houses want to pledge certain girls who happen to be minorities, but they accept bids elsewhere. And unfortunately there aren't really "enough to go around." Plus, we shouldn't be thinking of them as tokens that every house is supposed to have. Yes, every house SHOULD be inclusive, but a house not having any woc isn't always a racism thing.

Having a black exec member is not a good yardstick to determine whether a house is inclusive or not. Honestly I think at this point even having a black member in the sorority doesn't necessarily indicate if the house is inclusive-- so few rush and many of them pledge the same houses. I know in my house we have had several be initiated but I'm not sure if any are still around (for various reasons, not all of them dropped)

I think the presidents of pm, axo and zta are each super awesome. I also think each was the natural choice for president of each chapter and everyone wanted them. I also think they are part of the first wave of new black pledges a few years ago-- so they are natural leaders and pioneers to even pursue Panhellenic houses. Question is whether there are or can be second or third generations and presence on exec could tell us that. Are we one and done on woc leadership?

Its all about consistant integration with those that want to be integrated. The women who choose to forego a traditionally black sorority and join a "white" one obviously is a very individualistic girl who does what she wants. I think there will be a pattern of black women in leadership roles here and Im excited to see it happen

Agree with @right on individuality - WOC that pledge historically white orgs have to be OK with setting out on their own path and frequently being one of the only WOC in the room. I think the rising out of state presence will help with that because OOS girls generally value individuality more and "tradition" less.
