can beautiful girls get away with more during rush

A sophomore with no recs? Your chances are very very slim to be honest, unless you're best friends with an exec member or something.

I think that being super pretty can help you "get away" with wearing more risqué clothing, having a poor resume, having poor conversation skills, and maybe having a GPA on the lower side.
However, it usually cannot help you get away with having no recs with the exception of a few very specific houses. Your options would still be heavily limited, probably more so than the less attractive girl with a strong resume and 2 recs per house.

Yes, you can get away with more, and may even overcome you not having recs. Especially if you have really good grades and you come from a good school from a good area. I know some girls in Tut from Texas and Tennessee who didn't get recs for some OR sorority (not telling, but you might be able to guess) but went to them for pref. If a house really wants you, they'll find a rec for you, but the thing that a rec does is lets us know what your reputation is and gives us some insight into what your family's like. If you were really that hot of a PNM, we've probably stalked you in the Spring already and found out that info ourselves. So... if you were on our radar in the Spring and we really liked you, then we would have asked around already, negating the importance of a rec. But that's if we REALLY liked you. If you're just generic pretty girl with no rec, then you will be not on our priority list.

Yeah i do have a modeling contract.. it's not my mom and her fb friends telling me I'm pretty lol

what about old row? I have great grades and resume but was super hard to find recs in my area and many did not reply back to my emails, so i did make an effort. also rushing as a sophomore btw.
