can an oos girl get a bid at a top house?

I'm from the east coast and was just wondering if I'm going to be cut right away from the top houses since I'm OOS. Which sororities will cut me right away if I have recs but no real connections to a house? I'm so stressed about this - I am pretty and have a lot going for me but am afraid many houses won't give me a chance based on what I've been reading on this site! Help!

You definitely have a chance. And if a house cuts you because of where you're from would you really want to be in that house anyways? "Top" houses aren't always all they're made out to be, don't rule out NR

there are east coast girls in all houses, even top ones. But like the post above said, if a house cuts you based on where you're from... you wouldn't want to be in that house anyway, right?

Just look at girls Instas. They are from everywhere. Baltimore, Ny, NJ, Connecticut, etc...

Do OOS girls tend to pledge the same houses? Like do all the Midwest girls flock to certain houses while California girls go somewhere else? Do NY/NJ have specific houses or all they all mixed in?

For every question, it comes down to this...is there a girl already in a house trying to pull you in? Is there a girl trying to keep you out? If you don't know anyone, are you charming enough to make a stranger love you in 30 minutes? This is true for every house.
