what go girls wear to class?

by: bama

besides over size t-shirts that looks like you aren't wearing pants. That isn't really my thing. What else do girls wear.

I'm in business and a lot of older girls like juniors and seniors wear expensive activewear to class. But freshmen usually just wear shorts and tshirts cause it's so hot. You don't see people in real clothes unless they're not Greek for the most part and most sororities have rules about it

What houses have rules about what you can wear to class? NONE OF THEM

Uh.. mine does and I know of several others that definitely do as well. There's a little thing called "campus norm." No sorority wants their girls to show up to class in jean booty shorts

You're saying you're not allowed to wear jean shorts to class? Jean shorts, provided your ass isn't literally out, are a whole lot more presentable than wearing workout clothing.

No, no jean shorts... it's not about being presentable, and here jean shorts wouldn't be presentable for class anyway

It will probably become your thing. I didn't wear oversized tshirts and norts before college but now I always look forward to buying new sorority shirts. It's the style and basically what everyone wears.

Girls in sororities wear xl tshirts and norts or stuff from Nike/ lulu/ etc. that's it. It is so comfortable and you don't stick out like a sore thumb in class.

I am not saying I wear going out clothes to class but I dont wear the "college norm" often. I wear casual dresses (with or with out a light weight sweater or jacket) and sandals until it gets too cold. Then I wear boots and leggings with sweaters or tunics and no one in my house has a problem with it! Keep in mind more than half of your classes will be with GDIs

When I was in high school I rarely wore t shirts and norts, except for gym. I was always somewhat put together and I definitely preferred that over active wear. However, since coming to college my wardrobe for class has changed dramatically. You'll never catch me in anything but a tshirt and leggings unless I had an important meeting before or after class that I didn't have enough time to change out of for class.

Leisurewear (t-shirts, leggings, norts, nikes, chacos) is the NORM... Meaning, that's what most sorority girls wear to class on a daily basis. You're not going to see a lot of girls wearing jeans/jean shorts, dresses, etc. Wearing active wear is just what girls do and tbh a lot of girls think it's cute and funny... Also houses will have rules about what you can and can't wear. I know my house specifically says that if you do choose to "dress up" for class then it needs to be tame, meaning you can't stand out like a sore thumb.

However, if you do still choose to "dress up" then I think a good go to outfit for class would be jean shorts and a flowy tank top for spring and summer, leggings/jeans with a sweater for fall/winter.

Who the hell cares what other people wear to class. Be your own person and wear what you like and are comfortable in. You are suppose to growing as a person during college not conforming to what the "cool kids" wear and do. This isn't high school anymore!!

Exactly. If XL tees and norts aren't your thing, don't wear XL tees and norts! Be yourself, ladies. College is only 4 years so don't spend it trying to be something you're not.

It's actually hilarious how riled up you southern girls get over people wearing rompers to recruitment and being too "casual".... but god forbid you put a modicum of effort into your outfit during the school year and wear a dress to class instead of gym clothes.

Agreed!!! Recruitment is one thing although I don't find rompers offensive but what you chose to wear to class and how much makeup you wear to class etc... is up to you and if you can't figure that out on your own maybe you are not ready for college!

So the competition is what fun event tee you have to wear to class?

@Yes You're exactly right.

I don't agree with rompers for recruitment because it's a formal event but I also don't understand the judgement when northern girls see attending college classes as having a slightly different dress code from going to the gym. It's not a bad idea to show your professors you own more clothes than norts and hoco tees!
