I was the one who wrote the #2 post and I'm not a Theta, I'm from a different NR house... And the event that I was referring to was a philanthropic event during second semester two school years ago... Idk what y'alls fixation with Theta is but it's annoying.

I think my most rewarding moment was when I made my decision on pref night. It was a really hard decision for me because a lot of people were trying to tell me what to do. In the end, I went with my gut and chose the house that was right for me despite what everyone else said. I'm such a people pleaser so it was a big step for me. I'm so happy with my decision!! Rush is the time to be selfish

Being an RC, the first night of voting for recruitment as a sophomore, and sitting in my little's room crying after my boyfriend broke up with me are the three most influential experiences in my greek life experience. It's hard sometimes when people on here act like they know what your chapter is like based on stereotypes, but when I think about my time as a member - the good and the bad times - I know that none of that matters.

this is totally your opinion which is okay but this scares me!!!! i don't want the best moment of being in my sorority to be the day i'm told i'm in it! i want to actually enjoy the things i do while i'm in it.

It's "trendy" to over hype bid day (I've heard people call it better than Christmas), and yeah it's super exciting to join a house (or get new babies). But trust me, it won't be the best moment. You have a lot more to look forward to :)

Seriously don't worry. I spent the entirety of my bid day feeling straight-up exhausted. Recruitment is tough for introverts and then bid day is like the icing on the "i need to crawl into a hole and have alone time right now" cake. But trust me, there will be super amazing incredible moments at the most random times. Like you'll be driving somewhere and looking out the window and realize you've never been this happy and it's all because of your letters. For some people Bid Day really symbolizes that feeling, for others it doesn't.

I've had alumni approach me at airports when I was wearing my letters and I've met girls from different chapters all over the country while on a trip or while in my home state. It's honestly amazing to meet so many beautiful ladies you can call your sisters from all over the country.

I'm SO not a cheesy/ super emotional person but honestly my heart feels so full sometimes when I think about how lucky I am to have my sorority and my sisters. I can never recommend Greek life highly enough or fully express how greatful I am to be a part of it

I was walking to dinner at my house this past semester just thinking about how thankful I was for all my best friends and I couldn't imagine life without them anymore. I never had a big friend group in high school but now i'm surrounded by all these amazing people and I couldn't be happier. Had to actively stop myself from crying, they are all truly the best people I've ever met
