Not an idiot, but I also don't spend my time making dumb polls on Greek Rank to use as an excuse to bully houses, so how would I know? Why bother asking the question if you can't give all the answers?
Also, I'm so glad I was raised not to be such a miserable person. Bless your heart.

So I rushed last year...but my top OR house was KKG. Loved them but got dropped after Philanthropy. By far the most broad appeal imo! Don't get me wrong, I love my house but I respect KKG for branching out! I was a far OOS and felt very welcomed and the vibe was great!
Can't say this about any other OR house!

Sometimes...joining a lower ranked house can pay off big! It took me some time to come to this realization. There's always going to be a group of girls just like you in EVERY house!
Remember...all that glitters isn't gold!

It is great to be a big fish in a smaller pond. Get voted to exec., chapter nominates you often for campus opportunities, leadership is fun. AND sisterhood is awesome. In any chapter when you find your people. Which is totally possible.

So glad someone said this. I chose a lower tier house because I felt so wanted and loved. At the top tier house I prefed, I just felt like a number. I feel like I have so many opportunities in my house and I hope to be on exec!

At preference I went to 2 NR and 1 OR. I liked all 3 but saw myself at the OR house. Yes I had 2 recs for that house but I didn't know anyone in the house. It's a big pond but I found opportunities and went for it. I'm in Jr Exec, ,HC committee, and was on HC dance squad, on multiple rush and house committees plus involvement with a men's sports team. All this to say that even if you're in a large, top house as a freshman you can be involved. You have to go for it and put in the time. You get out of it what you put into it. Yes it might be easier in a lower house but who knows? I had a great rush and a full schedule but I did get cut from 1 or 2 house that surprised me but I didn't dwell on it and just went with it. I am friends with girls in nearly every house. There's a reason UA is known for recruitment. All the houses have great girls in there. You'll find your group. I am a "small fish in a big pond" as well and I don't mind it!! I love my sorority and I definitely have an ample amount of opportunities to get involved if I want to

maybe it's true? maybe she just comes from a small high school or somewhere with a strong MB presence, or the girls she grew up looking up to were KDs. Keeping in mind, of course, that these are pre-first impressions, and you obviously can't just pick and choose your house, who's to say someone wouldn't have KD as their first choice because they like the girls from their hs who are in it? In fact, judging off of KD's stereotype (all girls from the same area), seems almost exactly like the girls they go for.
Idk this could be said for almost every house, but obviously since this is just a hypothetical, we really shouldn't get too riled up about what house girls say they want right now.
