greek chic questions

by: pnm

The following have grade suggestions:
AXO - 3.0
XO - 3.0
DDD - 3.0

Why would they list this so low when they are going to cut you if this is what you have?

I also noticed some higher suggested:
ADPi - 3.2
AGD - 3.3 ( I heard form an active it's actually 3.4)
DZ - 3.2
KKG - 3.33
PM - 3.3

Do you think these really mean anything?

I come from one of the three houses listed above that you include in the "3.0 section". We 100% keep our gpa standards at a 3.0 bc it leaves room for girls that may have done okay in school but have spectacular involvement in other things (sports, theatre, student gov) or may have something happened in high school that could've affected their grades (death of a family member, parents getting divorced, that sort of hardship). I promise you we really do accept people that just brush by with that 3.1 or whatever because odds are if you're surrounded by other girls that make you want to do better in school you probably will!

If you have less than a 3.2 you WILL be cut from ADPi, an active told me after rush that there are ZERO exceptions. Not even for legacies. You could be the top pnm from wherever but if you have a 3.16 then you are cut. It's their national policy, not chapter related.

There are exceptions but don't count on getting in under a 3.2 if you aren't a legacy
