christian sororitys
by: PnmWhat are some houses that have more of a Christian scene? Obviously there are christians in every sorority but I'm asking which ones have big bible studies of girls actually living it out. Anyone name a few? I've seen Alpha Gamma Delta a lot but any others?

Every house has bible studies and every house has girls that practice what they preach in addition to girls that do not. I wouldn't let that impact your recruitment experience because you can get involved with Bama's Christian community no matter what house you join.
If you are really dead-set on being in a very Christian sorority and don't mind sacrificing some of the social perks associated with a regular Panhellenic group, consider Alpha Delta Chi.

If you are a lukewarm Christian who participates because you think society norms require you to be outward about your faith -- you might NOT want to be in a sorority like AGD or AXO. Why? Because people change in college, especially the degree to which they believe... especially if your family doesn't put a huge emphasis on it. I've seen plenty of girls think that they need to join sororities where there is a strong emphasis on this, only to see them secretly wish by the end of Freshman year that they joined another house where the intensity was less and they were more free to be themselves. If your dad is a minister and you plan to remain a virgin, and you think that this is super important, and are ok with others judging your non-Christian behavior, seek out a house like this.

being religious doesn't make someone psycho. It all comes in how you practice. Using religion as a basis of judgement and criticism of others is honestly a cop out imo. But some girls use their religion as a means of helping them through hard times and maintaining balance in their lives. I'm not religious at all, but I have nothing against the girls who choose to make that a large part of their life, so long as that doesn't mean they judge my actions based on their beliefs. Calling them psycho is very rude.
