Obviously we have to drop them so that we can sneak Phi Delt into the top 10 and Sigma Nu to the top 5 and KA into the top 3.

D Chi is the hottest house this year, and that is good for the entire System. They might be #3, but I thought that they have already gotten enough of a bump, and they have to prove they can sustain excellence as Theta Chi has.

If I had to make any movement on my list, it would be to move some Old Rows down. But like I have said before, it is good for ALL OF US to have Old Row be strong.

I have faith that SAE will regain its strength, and its rightful place in the top 2.
EN is 50-50 and I do my part by holding my tongue.
Phi Gam has not been great since I have been at UA, but they can & should be.
Phi Delt may be too far gone to salvage.
KE is hard to include here, as they have screwed the pooch also.

I would say that what new row has done is very good for the system too. While old row was content to rest on their laurels, new row went out and blazed trails and took risks and have come out on top by virtue and have helped strengthen the system. As it stands SX, OX, DX, Beta, Pi Kapp and Pike are probably better than all of old row except DKE, but I'm okay with allowing tradition to offset that some. I'm not okay with someone coming in and putting Phi Delt ahead of any of those houses because they haven't been anything special in 30 years, and no amount of tradition can save them from mediocrity. I also can't stand for Sigma Nu or Phi Gam or KA or even SAE being ranked in front of all of those houses currently, however, none of them are so far gone that they couldn't come back.

ATO is arguably pretty strong too, but unlike the affiliated new row their strength is actually not great for the system.

If ATO were backed, they would be top 10, but they are not, so they are not.

Agree also that those 5 New Row houses are super strong though a little disappointed that Beta hasn't made the move they looked like they were about to make 2 years ago.
For those butthurt that KA doesn't get praised, ask yourself where the Tide would be if we hadn't got Saban from Ohio and hadn't recruited from out-of-state. The State of Alabama has the best talent in these United States, but you need more if you want to be the best .... otherwise you end up looking like UAB.

Their probation may have undermined their potential a bit, but they're really impressive when you consider they were founded in the 1960s, whereas of the comparable new row houses, Sigma Chi was founded in the 1860s or 70s (original run must have been short or they'd be old row) Pi Kapp and Lambda were founded in the 1910s, and Pike, DX, and OX were founded in the 1920s.

is a disappointment. I don't count them among the elite New Row. They are better than LXA and ZBT and DTD but they are a half step below OX,EX, DX.
Pi Kapp is moving up slowly, but Beta is moving sideways.

say Pi Kapp is actually improving pretty quickly. They used to be one of the top new row houses before everyone got in trouble, and they got a very good pledge class from what I've heard.

I have trouble believing Beta is the only one girls care about. Not saying they're not good, but that's a huge stretch.

You're back in the top tier for the first time since George Wallace was Governor.
