genuine

Are there any houses that are known for recruiting really nice/genuine girls? It seems like a house with those kind of girls would have strong sisterhoods and less drama. I know some houses are known for lacking it, but are there any that are known for being genuine?

I believe that all sororities have nice girls but the ones who make that a priority are, in my opinion, and in no order. That is, where being grounded and not a snob are:

Adpi
Alpha chi
Chi O
Theta
Zeta (yes Zeta)
DG
DZ
Gamma Phi
Pi phi

you call sisters who want to fight phi mu nice? you call sisters who deliberately break the rules genuine? lol zeta does not belong on this list. YES there are SOME girls in that house who are the biggest sweethearts, but it's definitely not a majority nor is it even close.

All houses have lots of sweet, genuine girls, but here's a list of the houses with lots of drama and cattiness:

Alpha Phi
Zeta
KD
Pi Phi

Idk what kind of girls you're interacting with, @Clear, but literally NO ONE sees a pretty girl in a restaurant and says "she's a b---h" to their friends. like maybe you think to yourself "i like her makeup" or "that tan is a little too dark for her" or "i wonder where she got those shoes" but you don't send her a dirty look. like the interaction you are describing literally never happens unless maybe the pretty girl stole your BF from you or something... lol.

I think that if you set your friend group up based upon things like how you do your makeup, how you dress, etc, you are going to encounter more cattiness/drama because your relationships are centered upon the sharing of materialistic things versus the sharing of more abstract values. Being able to see past someone's appearance/upbringing and becoming their friend for a deeper reason is a great way to limit drama and cattiness, which obviously every house has but some houses deal with more than others.

I am basing this on the percentage of genuineness I feel in the houses. I can't speak for 400 girls but these are the ones who consistently are friendly in the halls, in class, at parties and walking around campus. They are friendly in rush and seek genuine girls and know how to carry on a conversation.

Adpi
Axo
Xo
Agd
Kat
Gpb
Dg
Aopi

PNM-here's the thing. If you go in looking for this in certain houses, you will probably find it. This post is setting your expectations for houses, and that's not fair to any of the groups. Plus, it perpetuates the stereotypes. Be bigger than this post, no matter where you pledge.

Aphi is not better looking than other sororities. They and phi Mu and zeta have a look -- lots of makeup. They are very pretty girls but take the makeup off and I bet the difference is clear.

There are real beauties in those chapters and in others as well. I know some gorgeous kappas, alpha chis, alpha gams, tri delts, Pi phis and KDs. Gorgeous. None pile on the makeup and none walk around talking about their beauty. This is so telling it's embarrassing.

To say girls are intimidated by their beauty is pathetic. Get over yourself.
