bare faced girls
by: Roll tide pmnI wear little to no make up on a daily basis. It isnt because I dont know how. I did dance and pagents from birth to about 10th grade. Part of reason why I dont wear make up is my skin was awful all those years with loads of make up and now it is very clear and bright. At first I was planning on just being me and just rocking some powder and oil sheets but now I am thinking about doing my make up the way I would for a wedding or nice night out, but that isnt even as much as most girls wear on a daily basis? Thoughts?

Do what make sure you feel your best. If you go into these parties and are more self conscious about you lack of make up then it might hinder your confidence when talking to actives. When I went through rush the actives seemed to almost walk on water to me (I know that sounds cheesy but they all coordinate their outfits and style their hair and look their best) so it's really up to you. Pref I wouldn't recommend more makeup since it's a more formal event and philanthropy is pretty casual.

I think you'd be fine wearing just powder and possibly some lip color during the first couple rounds but you might look a little too casual if you go totally bare-faced for pref. A little bit of mascara, under-eye concealer, and lip color will be fine as long as your skin really is super clear/even/acne-free.
If you don't wear a ton of makeup then you don't want to join a house that cuts girls for not wearing make-up, but also make sure your entire look is appropriate for the formality of the event.

Honestly do whatever you truly want and what's going to make you feel the most confident... If letting your skin breathe and wearing little or no makeup is your thing then go for it... I know I rarely put on makeup for the same reasons in terms of skin care. However, personally I do put on makeup for rush just because it makes me feel more put together and polished... It helps me focus on the conversation more with PNMs because instead of thinking about if they notice any of my blemishes I know they're covered and I don't worry about it.
So, I mean it's really up to you. Since you're obviously concerned about this, I think you'd feel better with makeup on... Obviously, you don't need to go all out if that's not your thing and you'll see a lot of girls, actives and PNMs, with very minimal makeup. Just do what you feel good doing!!

This is on point. If your eye dont pop on their own then I would suggest a coat or 2 of mascara. Do pref as you say you would for a wedding or such. Waterproof eye make up can be important!!
