dropped/blacklisted

by: curious

If one or two girls in a house don't like you for a ridiculous reason, can this cause you to be dropped or blacklisted? I'm just curious how often, if at all, does this occur.

if you treated them or their friends badly in high school, get ready for some karma

I was wondering the same thing. What if they simply didn't like one of your family members or what if you were once friends with them but had a falling out and aren't friends anymore?

if they don't like a family member-- you still have a chance

if you had a falling out-- adios

rush in many houses is hometown related bc they can't all get to know you. Should have been nicer in high school :)

just dropping in to say that when someone has a falling out with their friend 1 person usually isn't at fault. it's not "karma" because you "should have been nicer", you just got unlucky because someone you fought with once happens to be an active and you happen to be a PNM. perhaps the active should have been nicer in HS too...? not the PNMs fault they came through rush second.

I meant more like growing apart and found other friends or having one argument and weren't friends after that. I feel like people are always growing apart or friends always fight once in awhile.

I thought you meant that like you were secret lovers and then broke up when one of you decided you would start to officially identify a trans.

In my opinion in depends on how important those one or two girls are in the sorority. If they are on exec or they are a senior that has been involved for several years, yes, it could cause you to be dropped if they put in a strong negative word. If they're just an average member I think it would depend on how well they make the case against you combined with how strong or weak your resume/recs are. If you were a nasty bully, you will probably be dropped, if you dated their boyfriend or something and they're just bitter about it, less likely.

I was cut right away by a house I loved and fit in great with, it was devastating to me. A was basically blacklisted from XYZ I found out later I was blacklisted because a guy had Sent me a dm and asked for my number and his girlfriend was in XYZ! I had no clue he had a girlfriend, I had never met him before, I was a OOS pnm. I guess she was jealous and asked her house to cut me! I really did fit in great with this house and wish they had asked me about it before blacklisting me.

How did you know that was the reason?

In my house you usually need proof that the girl you want to blacklist deserves it. If a PNM gets good scores from the actives she talked to and has a good resume then we won't drop her unless there is evidence that she's a pr risk/ terrible person/ etc
