Dunno if you are a pnm trying to gain an edge or some troll woman over the age of 30 digging around for info because you never had the sorority experience, it's hard to tell these days...either way, it's none of your business. Every house has a system and no one except members know what it is for each house. Whatever method we use is designed to be efficient, careful, and fair. Our houses have been doing this for a long time and we know what we are doing and what works best for all concerned. We are not heartless and don't do anything randomly or to be mean. Intrusive question nonetheless.

My house puts all the PNM's names on a kitten, and tosses them outside. We look to see which kittens are still around early the next morning and THOSE PNMs get invited back.

Our neighboring Sorority does something involving naked moon dancing. It's kind of cool, but the drum circle really starts to grate on your nerves after a while.

It is not a democracy. There will be a crew that really makes the calls and everyone else just has maybe a veto if they really don't like someone.

big sororities have to use small groups

Speaking on behalf of my house, we get into smaller groups and vote on the girls who we spoke to directly. My houses, and lot others, kind of have a "grading scale" where we give PNMs points for certain things like a certain GPA, certain involvement, etc. And the other girls in the group kind of have to "agree" for you to be asked back to the house.

I highly doubt that some houses vote all together. Rush ends around 8/9 most days, meaning the girls would have to stay at least an extra 2/3 hours just to vote...
