invites back?
by: recruitmentHey so I'm wondering if anyone knows what the average # of invites PNMs get back every round? I know it's technically a max of 16-12-8-3 but about how many houses do most girls get back for philanthropy, sisterhood, and pref? If there isn't an average out there could I get a rough estimate or maybe just how many y'all were asked back each around?

Don't worry about it. Whatever happens is out of your control. Do not get discouraged. Petsonally i had 12 then 2!!! I really couldnt figure out why. I was honestly surprised that both houses asked me back for pref because I knew i wasnt my best self during the sisterhood round. I love my house (which is middle of the pack) and honestly I would of loved the other house. It worked out well. Rank according to how you actually feel. I still regret ranking 2 houses highly just because I thought they were the best but I knew I didn't fit in with them. I still wonder how my rush would of been different if I would of ranked those houses as 13 or 14 abd then put 2 lower houses in the right place

16--12-8-3 no idea how normal this is. I was cut by one house the entire time and that was after philanthropy. I liked the next one on my list so it was fine.
I always wondered if I was on all 8 bid lists...how does that work since they cut me. I put down my 3 prefs and those were the ones I went to.

No, it doesn't. Some of the 8 you had may have cut you, but since you ranked them low as well, you'll never know for sure.

I had 16 12 8 3 so a full card each round, however during IWT I got cut by 3 houses so 3 of my "bottoms"slid up, and before pref I got cut by 1 so my fourth ranked house I went to pref with. I'm far oos but overall I was a good pnm with good grades, easy to talk to, involved, and normal looking lol. no clue how many other girls experiences were like this

Were these OR ones that cut you after IWT and then no other cut you but one? Are you in OR or NR?

No clue who the other person is but I'm the op of that comment, the 3 that cut me after IWT were ddd ZTA and axo and the last house that cut me was axo. I'm in an OR house

I went 16-4-2-1 so sorta similar situation. It was really tough to get my schedule back for philanthropy but I wanted to go Greek so badly that I stuck it out. Worked out 100% because I did my best to forget about the other houses and really threw myself into getting to know the ones I had left. Everything happens for a reason and I love my organization.
I do think I had a relatively "happy" ending compared to most girls with 75%+ cuts after IWTs but like I said, I wanted to go Greek far more than I wanted a full schedule. All ya need is 1.

Having a full card for sisterhood is a good sign that you are a 'wanted' PNM (or at least a lucky one) but there is still no promise of getting your top 3.
If you go back to pref for your top 3 then yeah I'd say it's pretty much your choice unless something goes badly in the room. Houses don't ask girls back to pref that they can't see being on their lawn come bid day, which is why most PNMs end up with their first choice after pref.
