do girls drink on bid day?
by: ?#3by: Active
Yes, most actives drink during bid day. Some pregame before hand, a lot go to the bars afterwards. I've heard stories from girls in different houses that when they ran home the girl they met was legit drunk, sloppy, etc... Again, some houses are more clean with it, some aren't... Not going to name names but I'm sure you can figure it out for yourself.

you talk about houses dirty rushing like it's the end of the world to have lunch with a PNM that is about to pay thousands of dollars into a sorority that they should really know if they like it - PAN needs to come to a realization that communication really does no wrong but good
then you talk about illegal teenage drinking like it's all good and everything is doing it, like what

IF you do drink on Bid Day PLEASE know your limit. Bid Day IS NOT the time to get drunk and pass out on a couch. A little buzz is fine, most PNMs aren't drinking though, but DO NOT get sloppy drunk the morning of... You'll be taking pictures, meeting a house full of new girls, parents will be around, and you'll ultimately be on a two hour bus ride with the spins in the afternoon.
Also, you don't want to make a name for yourself... You don't want to brand yourself as "that" girl on the first day of your sorority career. AND new members can easily be dropped if their behavior reflects poorly on the house.
Be careful, can't wait to meet y'all!

well basically people used to party a ton for bid day and even have parties the night before. HOWEVER, now panhellenic is trying to keep it under control and in a lot of houses actives are told not to (but that doesn't mean it doesn't lowkey happen). If i were a PNM i wouldn't drink before because it is a hot as hell stressful day. Plus you will probably be leaving for your retreat in a few hours and i don't know about you but I wouldn't be able to handle a headache on the bus. Also there are a ton of parents there and you don't want a bad reputations but it's your choice :-)))

So it's okay to drink on bid day? I wouldn't mind that. As a PNM I would not be able to figure it out for myself.
