what kinds of girls do each house look for?

AXO - all around, usually southern, best of the best, intense overachievers
ADPi - cute, well-liked, smart, involved, OOS
AGD - super Christian/'wholesome' looking girls, almost all southern, some really quiet girls with some partiers mixed in
AOPi - OOS girls that are really nice but a little vanilla, the sort of girls that were super into Taylor Swift in middle school, relaxed/chill vibes
APhi - really hot, lots of makeup, interest in fashion/trendy clothes, lots of NJ girls, tend to be pretty wealthy IMO
XO - smart southern girls that weren't all-around enough for AXO, SGA types, very involved
DDD - southern girls that are above average in every way but not enough to really stand out to the top of old row. some are quiet, some are partiers, but they all tend to be pretty laid back. girls that are OK flying under the radar, not the most involved.
DG - interesting mix of girls, usually smart and involved, lots of OOS, a lot of ADPi type girls that couldn't get high enough on their bid list, again a little under the radar
DZ - party girls, grade risks, lots of OOS, super huge mix of personalities, don't have a defined stereotype which appeals to some people
GPB - mostly OOS, sorta like AGD in that some girls never go out and some girls are huge partiers, pretty average for a NR house
KAT - smart, sorta weird, probably would go XO if they were southern/connected tbh, very involved, the nerdiest house, lots of independent thinking types, not the best retention rate

I just have to say this about AXO. There is some myth out there that they want and only take these super awesome and well rounded academic stars who are the total package. This is a myth. AXO has some of the most boring, do-nothing, girls out there. I can't even count how many members they have who are AXO just because their mom or sister was, because they are connected in their home town, or have a bff in the house that is a year older. The one thing they all really have in common is that they get the grades and they know how to manage their brand/appearance. I think the sisterhood is average to below average. So much of it is superficial.

I'm really glad you got that off your chest bc it's been weighing on you. I think you pick on axo but also xo and phi Mu and try to set them against each other. Not working. Axo, xo and pm are all high achieving great sororities so shut your jealous trap and focus on your own. These three kill it in rush and have the most involved girls on campus. Xo and axo like each other a lot and all the old row sororitys like each other except maybe kappa and kd.

So it is fine if your chest is heavy with worries of axo but better check your facts first of the accomplishments they, xo and phi Mu had in high school and college and try another tactic cause that one is ridiculous.

The axos I personally know:

- few were legacies
- kind and fun to be around
- hc queens, class favorites
- continue being active in college

I don't know every axo but I know enough to know you are coming from jealousy bc they are a good solid group and really known for sisterhood.

That said, there are lots of great sororities so don't listen to anyone putting anyone down as a group.

You are the mean one. Who gets on to dispel a myth.and call a group boring and do nothing? Do nothing what? Join in every activity, make good grades, try to be kind ? Ridiculous. These top sororities have many accomplished young women, keeping to themselves and working hard....,and you should never generalize any group. Period.
