If you are fake, it's gonna show. If you don't fit a place, it's gonna feel awkward and you will always wonder what could have been.
SO, if you fit the Zeta and alpha phi mold ( which i think is also phi mu) look at those. If you fit the alpha chi or chi o mold, hope to go there. Both are well rounded.
For KD, pledge only if you are from MB or highly into clothes and trying to act superior. No joke. Especially don't pledge this if you don't want to party all the time or want to be encouraged to do things on campus bc you will be very frustrated. Reconsider Kappa if not from MB or Mobile or loaded, unless you are really wild and then it's fine. Tri Delt is wild but you can be happy if you don't party. . Pi Phi is wilder but still well rounded.
Alpha Gam will bore you but you will think you are in a great sorority and drop the OR name a lot.
Adpi has a nice sisterhood if that appeals to you. They have a chip on their shoulder but are a very good chapter. Aopi and dg and theta have very nice girls who are smart too.
Just don't try to fit where your personality is not the primary vibe of the house bc it will not change.

This sounds terrible, but when I hear good sisterhood, I think of a houses with girls that don't really want to "leave the zip code", a bit forced, too much forcing it, and not my thing.
What' I've seen called "bad" sisterhood fits me. Great groups of girl friends doing their thing with close friends in smaller groups. Headed out of town, going out, and without the "pressure" of being left feeling guilty for not wanting to do "a house" thing.
I'm just not and huge group girl. But at the same time, I like and appreciate all my sisters. Love the bond.
My point is - to each their own.
This happy house thing is BS
I'd be miserable in a house where I was being fined repeatedly for not doing the prescribed thing. Other would probably be miserable in my this groups and that group house.

This does make sense I was given advice last year going into recruitment not to try to be who I wasn't or change. I'm from the west so I could have tried to change and fit in with old row or I could just embrace who I am or how I was raised and be happy with a new row house. I'm happy I stayed true to myself. Just trust your gut and be true to who you are and you will be happy! Every house is great, so just go with the house you fit in with.

As stated above, there are other happy houses. Please list them for pnms!
I think the intent here was rather to show that some houses are more inclusive than others. It is not that everyone does the same thing, rather than they accept you if you don't drink, do your own thing, don't wear extravagant clothes, are black, are from a suburb other than MB, etc etc. there are girls who are so frustrated in some of these places and that was the point.

Going to say something again here similar to another post.
Go into rush with an open mind and where you think you fit in. If you do that you are very unlikely to be surprised or feel duped
In contrast if you let reputation stated here influence your judgment, you are much more likely to feel surprised and duped
Trust your instincts, not what anonymous strangers have posted here

All the sororities here are happy. The people who weren't most likely dropped. What makes one person happy may not make someone else happy and that is why we all ended up in the houses we did. People should not be so quick to judge things they know nothing about. Just because they wouldn't be happy in xyz doesn't mean its members are not happy.

Sisterhood and happiness is personal. I am very happy with my chapter as are most of my sisters.
You didn't name my sorority. You didn't name many sororities. You have no idea. Each new member has to find their people. Most will love it. Some will not. It's personal and you get out of it what you put into it.
