lower tiered houses
by: PnmIt turns out after reaching out to all friends, family, Panhellenic etc, I was not able to find recs for the lower tier houses like AOPI, DZ, Theta etc I found recs for every other house though.. should I worry about finding recs for these houses or no?

Reach out to their nationals. There might be an alum group in your area that would have members willing to write you a rec. Also, if your parents have LinkedIn accounts, you can lo gin under their accounts and search for those sororities and it will pull results of anyone they're connected to that have those houses listed in their profile. You may be more connected to alums of those houses than you think.

I can tell you that if a sorority likes you they will ask an alum to write you a rec during rush if you don't have one. IMHO recs received before rush from alums from chapters other than the one your rushing are a nice touch and might get you noticed but are ultimately worthless. I'd find out who the alum advisors are and reach out to them with this question. You should have your rush "packet" --photo, bio, etc. ready to mail out on a moment's notice by now, so send it to an alum advisor. If you've got a great GPA and were very involved in high school you should have a great rush regardless. Good luck!

Yep. Certainly not a coincidence. I know girls who have avoided getting recs for bottom houses because they think that will get them dropped from them. I'm curious though, if that's OP's endgame, why is she posting here about it. Curious.
