Why did they do that? Like why did they think it was worth the fines vs why don't more houses take the fines too? I'm just wondering

ACTUALLY houses are allowed to give house tours on any days except IWTs. Phi Mu did their on IWTs and I think the fine was like 100$ per girl? Don't quote on me on that, but I know they get fined per girl and it ended up being a ridiculous amount. However, I thought it was fun being able to see their house. And Theta did their on sisterhood day, which is okay, so they didnt get fined.

I personally thought the house tours felt awkward and forced bc all we saw were a few bedrooms. I also felt like I was invading those girls personal space by looking in their room.

I liked the house tour when I went through (phi mu was still in their old house at the time) but last year a lot of PNMs mentioned thinking it was tacky of phi mu to do a house tour because they thought they were showing off the new house (I did clarify that it's something they do every year)

I agree ^ The house tours gave us a lot to talk about and the actives answered a lot of questions I had because prior to that, I had never been inside, let alone upstairs of a sorority house! I'm not a Phi Mu but I wish my house gave a house tour to PNMS when we had rebuilt
