Does anyone know if KKG lets you do recommendations online or do they need a hard copy?

It's none of your business whether they do or not. Whoever's writing your rec will know.so it's really none of your concern. No one wants KKG anyway.

Y'all Greek Rank is so messed up. These are the types of questions that are suppose to be on here not bashing each other

i wrote the first comment and i really wasn't trying to bash anyone. idc about kappa but this question itself was stupid. the alum you ask for a rec knows literally everything she needs to do, including whether rec submission is mailed or virtually submitted.

Kappa prefers that you send recs via carrier pigeon. Google it.

Just read the other responses. Y'all need to check the attitude. So negative and mean. This board actually would provide a service if y'all would let it. This has to be a bitter mom patrol thing. Y'all should just stay off the board if you can't be nice.

I'm the the op but I asked a bunch of people and some of them were older woman that had never done a letter and they're asking me how to send it in so I just had them mail it to the address given on the UA Panhellenic site... also on kappas website they have a form for the letter of recs, do all of the sororities have a page similar to that??

there is a form that is on the national sorority's website (sometimes anyone can access it sometimes only members with a login can) and the rec writer fills it out and turns it in to their chapter with your resume and other stuff in your rec packet

If they are a member in good standing, all the information will be in their Key. They can look at that, either online or what gets sent through the mail.

How can you down vote this?

Providing recs is confusing to allot of alumnae. Even ones in good standing and active. Particularly ones who didn't go to Bama, who's school follows a different process, aren't obsessed with this.

They want to do a favor but don't know what is required, preferred,or even frowned upon......

There is a lot of conflicting information - do on line, print the form, send directly to the house, do not send directly to the house, submit a picture, don't submit a picture, use only the form or attach and also include a resume.....\n\n\n\n\n

You don't want an alum that has never written a rec to write you one if you can help it. She'll have no clout. The Kappa advisors know and trust the network of alums that regularly submit recs for girls. If at all possible, you want one of them to write your rec. if you have no other choice, then go with what you've got, but it may be the equivalent of having no rec at all.

For the record, I'm a Kappa Alumnae.

First, the rec writing process can be confusing at particular schools. We would like to support PNMs who ask us to write recs and often times will ask them if they know what a particular chapter prefers. Yes, this information is often on the website but the preferred methods can actually be different than what is posted.

Secondly, I certainly hope that the rude and disgusting comments made to the OP were not written by active Kappa members. The OP seemed genuine in asking a valid question and deserved an appropriate answer. I am assuming the rude comments were posted by angry trolls.

Thirdly, before any comments are made as to whether or not parents, alumnae, or even persons not associated with UA should be reading or posting on this site GET OVER IT. It's the beauty and pitfall of anonymity.
