getting cut by which house stung the most?

Curious which house you were dropped from that hurt the most? Please do not use this thread to bash or self rank or comment that others are bashing or self ranking. Just name the house and briefly say why.
Mine was DDD because I was a legacy and really fell in love with it.

Looved Alpha Chi and was heartbroken when they dropped me after philanthropy. I'm from the west coast and knew no one at Alabama so in hindsight I know I wouldn't have fit in there as well as I do in my house, but alpha chi was the house that initially made me feel most welcomed during rush.

XO dropped me right before pref and I was heartbroken. I probably would have felt the same way about AXO but they dropped me immediately so I didn't have too long to get attached. I had SO MANY cuts after the first round that I didn't have time to be too upset about any one, but after that I was only going back to a handful of houses each day and I really fell in love with all of them.

I think that I would have been INCREDIBLY happy in many, many houses at Alabama and I think that holds true for all PNMs. You really cannot go wrong with any house here. It might not be perfect and it might take a while to find your people, but they exist. I went to three places for pref and in retrospect I can say with certainty that I would have loved every single one.

Second comment hits the nail on the head. I was a rho chi and one of the hardest parts was convincing the PNMs that this is true. With PCs and houses as big as they are at Alabama, there is almost no house you could end up in that you couldn't find a home in.

Actually I'm not. Just sick of the threads that start off positive always turning mean. There's another one going where out of the blue someone starts making fun of AOPi's preview of their recruitment video on Insta.
There's ways to talk, share stories and rank on this board without these backhanded disses and in AOPi's case, just being outright mean.

At the beginning of rush-- chi o. One of the only houses on philanthropy where I had a really genuine convo. Right before pref-- dg. I had really liked them all week and was so bummed when I didn't get them back for pref. I still personally think chi o is where I would have fit in best, I ended up in a house that's not really known for academic achievement and am always jealous when I see them high on the grade report or out studying or something.

I say the following just to give some context to the drop that bothers me most - got to pref with three really good houses - two old row top rated and one of the better new row - two of which are known for "looks" by many on GR. .
I got dropped by APhi after Philanthropy. I had a rec from an alumnae from another chapter that's a family friend and ranked them high on my list but Got dropped.
It bugs me.

XO promised one of my friends a bid until pref round then dropped her. She says it was an absolute blessing in disguise and that she really dodged a bullet on that one.
