bidless

Pretty low actually. I know the bid rate is 93% and the national average is lkke 75%. What I can't remember about the Bama number is if that is only counting people who max their possiblitys or if that includes girls who drop out or go suicide after pref. If you make it to pref night and list every house you will make it into one. I only know of one girl who made it to pref and didn't get a bid but she was only invited to one event. She must of been like the last name on that houses list or something?

Very, very unlikely. While some houses themselves are competitive to get into, very few girls end up without a bid at the end of recruitment, unlike some other schools. Recruitment itself is not that competitive. Girls compete more for certain houses than others, but you're not really competing against each other to get a bid in general. The houses themselves compete more for who they consider top PNMs.

It is very, very unlikely for someone to be cut from every house. Panhellenic here works very hard to ensure that PNMs have a fair chance of getting placed into a house. As someone above stated, our bid match rate is a little over 90% whereas the national average is around 70%... Which is outstanding. Also keep in mind that many girls who don't make it to bid day drop on their own. I've met handfuls of girls who chose to drop on their own will because they tried rush the first few days and didn't feel like Greek life was for them. I've only met one girl who was dropped from all houses, and I don't mean this disrespectfully, but she was quite weird.
In general, you have to have a crazy low GPA, an awful known reputation, or be really weird to be dropped by all houses.

A lot of girls will say they know girls that were dropped from recruitment when what actually happened was that the girl dropped out of the process on her own when she still had houses left. It happens most often when girls are dropped from their legacy house/favorite house. Or when they always saw themselves being in the top tier and they (stupidly) buy into the narrative that being in a lower tier house is worse than being independent.
Because of stories about those roommates/friends of friends/cousins/etc, the amount of girls that are legitimately dropped from every single house becomes greatly exaggerated.

I observed a few girls who had only one to three houses after ice water teas "giving up" and dropping out on their own
Can't say what would have happened if they stuck it out - even with one house the entire way. But I believe there is a fair chance they would have found a house.
In general, the odds are very low of not finding a house.
As someone said the "competitive" idea is more about getting into certain houses.

I thought with RFM if you made it to pref and maximized your options, you got a bid regardless of how many houses you had left.
