Just a reminder that y'all actives should not have any contact with the PNMs whatsoever!!! I keep seeing a bunch of actives commenting on different PNMs instas. Y'all get fined for that.

They probably have them on their contact list, meaning that they're allowed legally.

for the most part yes but when you have 5+ different girls all from the same sorority commenting on a PNMs post and they aren't from her hometown what are the odds they all have her on their contact list?

No. I doubt all these actives have these PNMs on their contact list. And the contact list is for girls you literally have to interact with on a regular basis, such as a sister or coworker, not some incoming freshman from across the country.

Commenting on instas is dirty rushing... And it makes your house look desperate. The PNMs know you shouldn't be commenting and you're putting them in an awkward place when you do.

I know Panhellenic might not be patrolling insta all the time themselves, but trust me, other houses are taking note of this and hefty fines will be distributed.

PNM here. I don't understand why it matters. Why is it considered dirty rushing and who cares? I'm not going to pledge your house because you commented on my photo.

May 1st is the start of the no contact period until bids are opened on Bid Day. Panhellenic enforces a strict no contact rule (no commenting, no following, no texts, no talking in person, etc.) for the duration of these months through rush week to ensure there is no dirty rushing and that PNMs have a happy rush experience as well as that all the houses are on equal playing ground. To you, comments on insta may not mean a lot, which is great. However, a lot of PNMs find that this superficial attention is admirable. These girls aren't necessarily pledging these houses that are commenting on their pictures, but they definitely have a huge bias going into rush. Rush is extremely competitive and houses will do anything to pledge the top recruits... So if having ten actives comment on one picture gets the PNM to seriously consider their house then they will.
It's all extremely superficial and shallow, shame on the houses that are breaking the rules, and shame on the girls who only pledge a house based on shallow aspects.

Good to hear. Would you WANT to join a house that dirty rushes? Those houses tend to not have the best sisterhoods...

Bump.
I know this post sounds so stupid because it's just insta but at the end of the day a lot of actives are partaking in dirty rushing. It's not fair to the other houses, and more importantly, it's not fair to the PNMs. Yes, we all want the top recruits, but stop sacrificing your integrity just so you can pledge a few pretty girls. It's ridiculous. And as someone mentioned above, the majority of girls I've seen doing this are from houses known to not have strong sisterhoods/known to be superficial.
