gamma who?
by: .In all of my time that I've attended UA, I have yet to see much improvement from gamma phi. When I went through recruitment a lot of girls hated them and from what I hear from other girls in younger pledge classes the same can be said. I see a lot of comments saying switch xyz sorority with gamma phi they're ranked higher. So can someone please tell me how have they improved?? Last I heard they did fall COB, spring COB, tons of girls dropped, not the hottest girls, terrible grades, and a horrible sisterhood. So please do tell me their accomplishments?

I will say that between freshman year and now (I'm a rising senior) it seems like gamma phi is a lot more involved. I can't remember meeting any gphi's in organizations I'm in during freshman year and there are quite a few in all of them now. You also sound incredibly bitter. When houses improve, our whole Greek community improves.

I agree with the OP. I think GPhi has a lot of great qualities, but nothing crazy has happened in which you could claim they've significantly improved. I mean, their new house is nice but that can't be your only excuse. A lot of their girls aren't involved on campus, they don't have the best grades, and their sisterhood is surprisingly divided.
I'm NOT trying to hate on them. Alot of their girls seem sweet but I agree with the statement that they haven't really improved.

It's easily known as The Law Of Averages. All homes cannot be at the top. When the #1 GPA at a sorority home is 3.55 that GPA beats number two at 3.54 and number three at 3.53 and fourth place at 3.52 and so on, with bottom house GPA at 3.36. Now we all know a house GPA of 3.36 is just grand but it's still bottom house.

I do think GPB has gotten steadily more attractive pledge classes, girls seem a lot of fun! I know several and they're really great girls! One more thing, they have a lot more "personality" than lots of their houses imo! By the way, I'm not a GPhi but in a house that ranks closely with it!
