tips for freshman

Just looking for some general tips for freshman year when it comes to classes, schedule, friends/family, drinking, and or games! Now that you are no longer a freshman what is something you wish you would've known before? Thanks!

1. 8ams are worse than you could every imagine
2. Leave room in your schedule to have lunch at your house (I think most houses have lunch between 11-1)
3. Spend lots of time sitting in your sorority house!! You meet so many more people that way
4. Get involved asap- I feel like I wasted my whole freshman year not being involved and once I started being involved inside and outside my house I was so much happier at Alabama

You don't have to automatically meet your best friends the first day of freshman year, it's ok if it takes some time to find "your people" so don't be afraid to put yourself out there and meet new people

Don't overschedule. Even though I was "academic" in HS, I wish I had taken an easier load my first semester.
