sga

I'm a poli sci major going to bama in the fall. Is is necessary to rush/be in Greek life to be voted onto sga? Has anyone won without being in Greek life? What sororities have the most members/presidents etc...(not basing my opinion of sororities off of that just curious)

It helps a whole lot if you are Greek. I think Chi O had the most political power of all the sororities.

Being in Greek life makes it much easier to get involved in sga. Particularly if you are in a Machine sorority (all of them besides theta I believe).

If you aren't Greek your chances decreases significantly. If you don't run machine backed your chances (still very possible) decrease. If you want to be on sga exec at some point go Greek. Houses like Chi O, Alpha Chi, and Phi Mu are typically very involved. If you rush let the houses know you'd like to do sga. Houses will eat it up specially one of the three.
