Will I really be dropped 1st round if I don't have a rec for a house?? Where can I find recs outstide of family and friends??

Get. Your. Recs. You will very likely be dropped from almost every house without them. There are so many girls rushing that there are literally not enough spots in the houses to ensure every girl gets a bid. Do not let yourself get lost so easily! Get your recs, and if possible get them from people who know you vs finding your mom's college friend who has never met you. Rush is a really stressful time for most girls, so do what you can to have a solid rush! Good luck!

Nope. You need to show that you are not a slacker and you respect the process without shortcuts. Even the houses that are not in the highest demand for returns will cut you for lack of resume (unless you have really done something to impress, then they can always some how "find" you a rec). Don't count on that charity.

ok so what if i do have a rec for that house but i also have the general rec will that just help me out even more? or do they not even see the general rec if i have a rec for that specific house

That academic letter of recommendation is just garbage. It's not even worth the pixels. Each sorority has to have a recommendation from one of their MEMBERS. Non-members don't count.
