filler girls
by: hmhow do the random filler girls in top sororities make it to the end with the top house if they're random and do not really fit in?

This is a great thread on attitudes, what old row is and isn't.
Old row is the strength of in state ties. So its "top rank". And, it excludes others. Not always, but clearly enough to be notable.
I am on the side of it's unbelievable that in state girls think that have ALL the money, looks and class.
I understand it's Alabama, but sit down!
Old row is best for those who want to go back to their MB and Mobile zip codes. Nothing wrong with that.
But for the rest of you - wise to keep your eyes, and options, open. \n\n\n\n\n

This thread is great. Puts the underlying attitude out there and really speaks to what old row is about.
I agree top, old row, deserves the high rank for attracting the best Bama girls. As someone said this is Bama -with a rich tradition and this shouldn't change.
But if you are OOS, it's wise to ponder if this works for you.

Somebody was breaking down KD's filler girls earlier and mentioned this type:
"Girls who have GOOD grades and few connections, but they know how to dress decently and have clean reputations and don't cause drama." Does that mean they would take somebody from, say, Trussville or Gardendale if she had the other stuff and could afford the dues?

ADPi was the second national sorority at Bama (1907) and ZTA was the third (1910). DZ was founded the same year as Chi O (1922), which makes them older than AXO (1924), Kappa (1927), and Phi Mu (1931).
