First, I am not an Aopi or in any way affiliated except by having some awesome friends in this chapter.
I want to say that the ratings on here must be by chapters trying to recruit against them. The girls I know are fun, active, and aopi has always been a strong mid-tier chapter at UA. They just won the outstanding sorority and they have the homecoming queen. I don't get it except for it being lower tiers out to get them.

Bumping this bc I have a ton of aopi friends and I feel like they're underrated considering how involved they are in the Greek community not to mention they won the most outstanding chapter on campus two years in a row. 2016 pledge class has super pretty and sweet girls who I see out at bars and parties all the time ... they also hangout with frats like beta theta pi, sigma chi, delta chi, and ato sooo the boys seem to like them too

A Pi Phi won in 2006, so it's definitely been a while, but there was also an AOPi in 2003 and another Pi Phi in 2000. So it's not like new row houses NEVER win, they just win less than the old row houses do collectively.

Dg and pi phi have been doing well, gamma phi, aphi, zeta got new houses (matters a lot to PNMs). Would say it's not that aopi is doing anything differently but I think houses like aopi and dz got comfortable and other houses are gaining ground.

I don't think that they're doing much differently than ADPi or DG. it's just that they're one of the last to get a new house and arguably they don't have as much of a national presence so it's harder to get those top OOS PNMs. As far as involvement/grades/social/sisterhood they're very similar to those sororities, they just are on a downward cycle. Hopefully with a new house they'll turn it around.

if they come here and self promote, they will get hate for self promoting just like other houses. It seems to be a 'no win'. Haters are gonna hate.

It's like three years old? Compare it to aopi's old house and I'm pretty sure everyone would call it new
