Hello,
I came into recruitment, no recs, I was a legacy for XO, I ended up dropping them first round because I didn't connect with the girls, had a 3.8 GPA in high school, 3.71 in college, I played soccer in high school, and volunteered quite a bit. The only house I got dropped from during recruiment was AXO and that was sisterhood round. I ended up with Phi Mu, ZTA, Pi Phi, Alpha Phi, KKG, and someone else before Pref, ended up pref KKG, Pi Phi, and Phi Mu, ended up going one of those houses and I love it. Just be yourself and be open to every house. Girls want somebody they connect too. Good luck.

I transferred here from OOS but still in the South from a smaller private school near my hometown. Had a 3.5 in high school from a well-known public school in my city (large city) and a 4.0 in my freshman year. I'm not a huge partier, my Instagram-public life isn't enviable, my family doesn't belong to a country club, and my mom isn't in Junior League, just the PTA. I'm a racial minority. That being said, I'm from a good part of town, there were girls who knew of me and my school, even if they didn't know me directly, I've traveled a lot to the usual places (Hawaii, Europe, Costa Rica), my parents have good jobs, and it's been implied that I can be cute/pretty "for my race." I might have been a diversity pick. I was only dropped by Kappa, but had full schedules the rest of the week.

Would you say that as a sophomore connecting with the houses means more than gpa/involvement to houses?
