transferring

by: Transfer

I am considering transferring to bama from a school that didn't have a real Greek life. I would be a junior. Is there any hope or should I just stay where I am?

I mean It wouldn't be easy but Im a freshman and one of my good friends in my pledge class is a junior and she loves it here, she transferred too. I mean you only have 4 years of college and if you're not having fun where you are, this it the place to be.

One thing to consider is that allot of Greek life experiences and connections form freshman year.

By junior year, people have their friend groups set and also start to "fade" from the Greek life - don't hang at the house as much, go out downtown with friends, get closer to people in their majors rather than the house, etc. The upperclassmen are still dues paying g members and I'm not saying it will be impossible to make connections, but certainly not as easy as freshman.

I'm also not saying this should stop you, but it's something to consider. You may be hanging out with allot of freshman.

I would also believe that it would be very hard to get a bid from top houses. For no other reason than they want to use their bids for people that are going to be around for four years.

And I would also say that this should absolutely not stop you. There are great girls in these houses. Just setting expectations
