I think all are fine but the good parts of brimingham with a certain zip code will get you kept an extra round in some houses.

Those cities are cute. At least they're better than Mississippi. Real money and family prestige comes from the Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas and Charleston girls.

The OP left off Huntsville and tricities, which is stronger than Montgomery. I say mobile then Huntsville/tricities/Madison then BHM then Montgomery. But really just depends on the house. birmingham (over the mountain zips)

2 sororities only care about Mountain Brook, which is sad bc they lose out in so many great girls. . Same 2 only care about a few Montgomery and mobile girls. Not as selective with Huntsville, which is also sad because those girls are some of the best all around IMO.

As far as money- mountain brook is tops, then mobile and Huntsville.

Best education - definitely Huntsville/Madison area hands down.

Nicest city- suburban Birmingham and Huntsville.

So I don't really know what you are asking, but that's a summary of the state lol.

MB is the only part of BHM that has any value? Or do these posts mean MB to mean the "over the mountain" parts of Birmingham, like including John Carroll, Spain Park, Hoover, Oak Mountain, Vestavia, Homewood?

MB is a a legacy thing at several houses like Tridelt, KD, Agd and kappa. All the birmingham suburbs produce a lot of pnms everyone wants. There really is no favorite area though and all those birmingham schools' top pnms have many options on old row unless they are a grade or rep risk in a major way. I am only talking about the top girls not everyone.
