Apparently some of the girls were dropping class that they were struggling in and getting W's and only having 6-9 credit hours at the end of the semester to get there GPA up and it's still only at a 3.0

makes no sense ^ lmao no sorority would ever ask girls to risk their credit hours to get their campus total up. And if you know any alpha phis, you would know that especially wouldn't be the case.
