best off campus housing for greeks

by: Midwest girl

Hi there, I am transferring from a large school with a large greek population. The house I am in here is solid mid tier but if all the ranks here are to be believed is top tier and "old row". I hope to affiliate but if I have to go alum early whatever.
What apartment complexs and neighborhoods do greeks typically live in? I want to be as close to the stadium as possible. I literally do not know anyone (well I made some social media contacts at my house) and will be a junior. Coming down in 2 weeks to sign a lease somewhere.
Thanks!!

Why are you even transferring lol? Houses are not required to take you from another school. Most everyone has their living situation locked already. Being a junior who gets roommate matched at a by the room place you will be weird GDIs who have no friends.... Just saying.

I have several good reasons. I obviously know I am not guaranteed a spot. And if I don't find roommates on my visit or soon over the internet I will probabbly get a one bedroom.

The university housing has off campus information. Get with a rental agent. You can also check some of the larger complexes on McFarland. All of those have shuttle services. Welcome and roll tide!

Thanks! I really want to live somewhere nice with pools (and not snow) and amenities. If I can't find roommates soon I will probably get an agent to find me a cool little studio or something.

honestly there isn't one single place thats known for housing mainly greeks. since theres so many off campus housing options, you'll find greeks in whatever area you're in. also you could post in some of the Facebook groups and ask for roommates or recommendations if you're looking to live with other people.

That is so weird to me! Where I go now is similar to Bama in size, size of greek life and a ton of off campus apartments. The difference is out of the 15 or so decent choices there are 3 that are 90-99% greek. I just made the choice to transfer a few days ago so I'm exploring all possible connections and info online. I am already planning to meet some Alabama sisters and go out with them. In my perfect world we all love each other and some upcoming juniors or seniors will have an extra room for next year. Also going to try to find some people in other organzations Im involved in while I am there.
