Hey, all you PNMs:
Please stop wearing full going out outfits when you tour the campus. It makes you look bad and literally anyone can tell you're an incoming freshman when you wear an actual outfit while walking around campus. Literally a t shirt and shorts are fine... You're not going to meet the love of your life on a tour here so chill and no frat guys are going to try and talk to you because you're most likely underage.

First, not everyone on a college tour is interested in rushing. Remember when you were a high school junior or senior and college tours were exciting??
It is fun to be out of HS for the day and on a college campus plus many students are meeting with advisors and potential professors so actually shorts and tshirts are inappropriate. When you are with your parents representing your family you should take pride in your presentation.
Sounds like some chubby college girls are getting worried about the incoming competition...

First of all, no one mentioned anything about rush in this post so idk where you got that idea from.
Secondly, I remember when I came for tours all the girls in the groupmes I was in that were also coming asked what was and wasn't appropriate to wear. The majority of girls felt it best to be casual. And I know there are a lot of posts in facebooks groups regarding suggestions of what to wear.
The point of this post was to tell girls to chill out. Of course you can wear whatever you want but this post was a tip for y'all incoming freshmen because FYI to all you incoming freshman reading this: Anyone on campus can spot you a mile away and see you're trying too hard. Tours are informal and and not that serious... But I mean, hey, if you want to walk around overdressed in a full outfit all day while actually college girls are wearing t shirts and leggings, then be my guest.

Actually the post was addressed to PNMs so that does mention rush, but I do feel like there's a good middle ground between "going out clothes" and what I would typically wear to class. Like I think I just wore chino shorts and a nice top. You can look casual without wearing shorts and a tshirt

some Girls wear full outfits daily, I know many girls on my tour were dressed really cute and were from out of state and had no idea Alabama students dress so casual! Wear whatever you want to express who you are! Btw girls can wear full outfits just to look nice not to try to "meet the love of their life" and sometimes standing out isn't bad!

Maybe the OP dressed in Nike shorts and an oversized t-shirt for her tour. Fine. Whatever. I came from a uniform HS and I thought looking around "oh, wow. Alabama has their own version of an uniform." But, on my tour, I was meeting the dean of my (now) college (I was touring my top four schools all across the country) and a professional peer group set up by the dean. I would have looked like a joke showing up in Nike shorts and an oversized t-shirt when they were all dressed in slacks, ties, skirts, and dresses.

lol i don't think the op was trying to be conservative. if you want to be a hoe then be a hoe... but i agree w the op, its annoying to see these girls dolled up on tuesday mornings thinking they're being cute when really they stick out like a sore thumb. like damn.
