sorority and fraternity ranks

I am considering Bama and joining a sorority next year and have been catching up with what it may be about on GR.
I have noticed that fraternity ranks are pretty varied. Lots of opinions. Different people place difffernet houses first and it gets mixed up allot form rank to rank.
But the sorority ranks are both more frequent but nearly always the same/similar.
Doesn't any sorority think enough of themselves to ever put it out there that they are better/best? Or are some houses just not on here? Don't do it for other reasons?
Sororities accuse houses of self ranking when a rank shows them toward the end - like being 10th versus 12th is self ranking.
What's up with that?????

1. okay first of all as a PNM you should be VERY WEARY of what you see on this site. take everything you read with a grain of salt because since this site is anonymous it allows for people to literally say anything they want.
2. girls from every single sorority house is on this site whether they admit it or not. as well as their moms and their alums. some girls are just more vocal than others.
3. fraternity rankings fluctuate so much bc their rankings are so much different than sororities. there aren't solid ranks in an exact order because it really depends on who's writing the rank but basically all you need to know is the the old row frat houses are definitely top along with some new row Univ Blvd houses.
4. sorority rankings are more frequent because thats just what people on this site like to do. we all know the general synopsis of the ranks so personally idk why they feel the need to make new posts about it everyday but oh well.
5. every house here has been accused of self ranking from time to time. some girls get really offended someone may rank them a spot too low and feel the need to say something and then another person calls them out for self ranking... blah blah blah. every house on here self ranks because i mean no one wants to see their sorority be bashed.
6. you're really invested in this site as a PNM lol. i'd truly suggest to not get caught up in this site and the ranks if you want a successful rush experience. good luck!

You have in more detail reiterated what I have observed and lif I understand you correctly, are saying "that's the way it is".
I'll take the advice I've seen - basically ignore this crap, get off GR and make my own impressions
I still don't get why fraternity rankings are "so much differentt" and why they "depend on who is writing", but sorority ranks don't.
I don't know if AXO is for me, but wish I'd see some other house post a rank with them on top. Is there really no other house that thinks they aren't better than them - or any guy or girl who doesn't see them as the best?
BTW. I'm not terribly vested here in GR. I spent maybe an hour going back and reading threads. Frankly, it's enough as it's pretty repetitive. And the hate based threads are scary. I hope those are outsiders.
I am curious though what response my question(s) get!

The only reason axo is top is grades it's a measurable edge if one of the other top tier had the highest gpa they would be top

I don't understand what you still don't get...
Fraternity rankings differ so much because there really is no set ranks for each individual house. I mean there are tiers but there isn't a concise rank of each of the houses in each of the tiers because it depends on who's writing the rank and what matters more to them, which is kind of how it is for the sororities too. ALL the fraternity ranks are usually split into two different ranks: Univ Blvd houses and Jefferson houses. On here fraternity ranks don't matter as much and there are almost twice as many frats as there are sororities so it's kind of hard to give each house a certain place in the rank.
Now AXO is a different story. As I already said every house is on here making new ranks. AXO is always ranked top tier, and a lot of people consider it to be one of the top three houses, along with PM and KKG. AXO is not the only one making rankings and I think a lot of people would agree that they have various factors that undeniable make them a top house. Now before everyone attacks me and tries to call me out for being an AXO, I am not an AXO lol they dropped me right after ice water tea day. I'm in a different house in a completely different tier from them and I would honestly say that between the three "top" houses I think AXO is a really good house. I don't think they're the best or "the top house" by any means, they take in way too many OOS girls and they significantly lack in looks, but they do make up for it.
