how do some girls get lucky?
by: hmHow do some girls get into houses that don't really fit the mold? I know there's different girls in every kind of house but for instance how do girls that aren't southern and fit in with the dkes/saes get into KD/Kappa? How do the girls that aren't very pretty or religious get into PM/AXO, is it just because they were smart? And girls that don't have a ton of followers and gorgeous get into ZTA/APHI? These are just some examples but I've just noticed theres like one group of friends in every sorority that seem to be completely different...how did they get in?

It's been said here before. Houses make mistakes during rush.
Know a girl who deservedly got a top house but was dropped early on by a mediocre house where she had a family history and showed interest. That house whiffed on her.
Rush is quick and allot of decisions are being made with quotas.
Who do you think and the best rush in terms of getting the best pnms?

This is a great example of why people shouldn't judge girls based on the reputation of the sorority they join. Girls come in from across the nation to rush. Every single house takes in OOS and Northern girls even if they're known for having "instate/Southern/Mountain Brooke girls only." Every house takes in girls that defies their run of the mill reputation.

They are often sisters of girls already in the house. The older sister fits the mold, the younger doesn't. Happens a LOT.
