by: sadAs someone who is in one of the "lower" tier houses that everyone is bashing, it makes me so incredibly sad. I know I shouldn't let this site affect me, but it does. The amount of hate about my house, although it shouldn't make me feel differently about it, almost makes me question if I made the right decision on pref. I know that I did in my heart, but the fact that this site can make me, someone who was very sure of their decision, feel bad about their house is saying something. I know tiers don't matter, but some of the things people are saying is just...So please, before you hate on a house you know nothing about (which you can't really truly know the houses/sisterhoods if you're not in the sorority yourself) then please think about what you say and post on here. Just give it one more moment of thought and think about the hatred you're spewing into the world when there's far too much already. Just wanted to get that out there, and I hope everyone ends up where they truly belong.

I agree with OP. I'm not on a top tier house either and there is a tremendous amount of hate on this site. It's so mean and any girl in any sorority should be considerate. Don't question your decision and fill your mind with doubt! Enjoy your sorority....whichever one you pledged and make the most of it! You sound like you're a great person and that alone makes you a great advocate for your sorority! Trust me....you wouldn't want to be in one of the top tiers anyway...they're full of competition, jealousy and petty behavior! Imagine pledging a house and having to drop because your sisters ignored you!

Yes! This kindness is what we need. Hard to believe that a school with such an amazing greek life tries to tear each other down with such ferocity is honestly astounding. This does not happen on other school pages to the extent that it happens on Alabama's. I still don't understand why there's so much hate on this page compared to other schools, with lesser greek systems.

I understand where you're coming from and not saying that the mean comments are acceptable, but honestly if it bothers you so much then just stay off Greek Rank. I'm glad you enjoy your sorority but if what other people say about it effects your thoughts about it too then that's coming from your own insecurities. YOU are the one in that chapter, not them. You know the truth about your sisterhood and what it represents and that shouldn't change because of dumb anonymous posts online!! Don't doubt your decision now :)
