honest opinions on dz and reputation??

The reason people rank dz so low is because they're afraid they will start rising now that they're pulling stronger pledge classes and getting a new house which will attract better pnms. They're not top by any means but they're definitely not the very bottom either. They're a laid back group of girls who know how to have a good time.

I was wondering why they get so much hate on here too. I never really hear anything bad about them-good or bad.

Most people have split opinions on DZ - either you think they're good or you think they're bottom, but from what I've heard from a lot of different people, is that on average most people consider them the bottom house. My roommate is actually a DZ and I know a bunch of her sisters and they've told me a lot about the sisterhood and their personal experiences with DZ and it hasn't been the greatest - but that's just a few girls. DZ is known for being the house for all the leftover girls that were cut from all the other houses during rush. Their overall reputation on campus isn't the worst, but a lot of people think they're wild and weird, and I know DZ fundraisers a lot for their philanthropy too. In all honesty, DZ isn't that bad, but they're definitely not the best here. Don't worry about ranks/reputations, go into rush with an open mind!

I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with DZ, because they do have plenty of sweet and smart girls and are known to be more laid back and relaxed. I think they just arent viewed as a standout sorority, and their laid back attitude could contribute to that. There are quite a few DZs I know that are just as pretty, high achieving,and involved as girls in other sororities. They do have some wild ones that add to the bad things said about them, but every house has those. Overall you could expect a more relaxed vibe going in there though rush.

I'm an active here at UA and honestly I think PNMs truly deserve to know the actual reputation of the sororities here before they rush. Do ranks matter? No, of course not. But knowing some general opinions of a certain sorority definitely does help determine what kind of house you'd best fit into before you rush. Don't be fooled by self rankers on here... At the end of the day ranks and whatnot really do come down to personal preferences but if a majority of people are saying one thing then it's probably true. So to be honest, DZ is the bottom tier house here, and there's nothing wrong with that. I know several DZs personally and they're fun girls. Every single house has some good girls and some bad girls. Go back a few pages and look for different threads about DZ because I know there were a lot earlier this school year.

From what I saw their lot is getting extended so their house is starting at alpha chi and going past kappa, once zeta clears their construction stuff. And kappa is not three full stories while theirs is! You don't have to be so rude about it. Less hate ❤

THE ABSOLUTE BOTTOM HOUSE

I wouldn't say they're the BOTTOM house. But tiers don't matter do who cares. But I'd say they're bottom of mid tier.

all negative comments are just other bottom tier houses fighting to show they aren't very bottom anymore. No upper/middle houses care enough to comment mean things. DZ is considered bottom tier, but are by no means the very bottom. They have a lot of pretty, nice, smart girls that love to have fun. You will see when you go through rush most girls will preff DZ over gphi/theta/aopi (at least that's how it seemed when I rushed this summer). Just pick the house you feel best in & have an open mind! :) everything will work out the way it's supposed to!
