why is alpha phi bottom tier?

Alpha Phi, along with other new row house, generally attract a lot of northern girls. Truthfully, more and more northerners are picking UA. Alpha phi is not picked on for looks...but for the attitudes the girls display...not passing judgement but just a known fact. Other northern houses are picked on too. In reality tiers don't exist in day-to-day life. They only appear and get discussed on GreekRank. If you have friends in APhi then by all means, rush them and try to secure a bid. The supposed top tier houses won't want you if you're from the north. iIt turns out to be a blessing in disguise. You'll jive better with any northern house obviously if you're from the north. Don't forget...every house has every girl imaginable so it ends up a game of chance. No one to work better as it takes place in a week and it's before school ever even begins. Good luck and try to enjoy the experience. Every house does an amazing job to welcome the new PNMs. I loved the experience!

In the south people used to make ranks based on who's going to go live in mobile or mountain brooke after college. With northern kids comi that's changing. Also the worst sororities here are probably better than the top sororities at most northern schools. Same with fraternities

Alpha phi isn't bottom tier

Well sororities at bigger southern schools are all really good, especially at bama. Greek life is much more competitive here than in the north. Its one thing to be pretty and popular, but to be top tier at bama you have to be so much more than that. Have to be smart and involved, wealthy, classy, successful. There's so much more to sorority life than just a pretty face.
